Grasshoppers Fall to the Hot Rods, 10-3 Wednesday Evening

GREENSBORO, NC – The Greensboro Grasshoppers fell to the Bowling Green Hot Rods, 10-3 on Wednesday, August 16. The Hot Rods improved to 27-16 in the second half of the season while the Grasshoppers fell to 21-22 as both teams tallied nine hits.
Leading at the plate for the Grasshoppers was infielder Jack Brannigan as he went 2-5. Following close behind was outfielder Luke Brown and infielder Brenden Dixon. Brown went 2-4 with two runs scored while Dixon went 2-4 with one double and one RBI.
Starting on the mound for Greensboro was righthanded pitcher Bubba Chandler as he tallied five strikeouts and gave up four hits, five earned runs, and four free bases on six innings of work. Chandler took the loss for the Grasshoppers and fell to 7-4 on the season.
Colby White recorded the win for the Hot Rods and improved to 1-0 on the season.
